Kudu (Tragelaphus strepsiceros)

The Greater Kudu is a woodland antelope found throughout eastern and southern Africa. Despite occupying such widespread territory, they are sparsely populated in most areas, due to a declining habitat, deforestation and hunting. An adult can weigh from 195–315 kilograms (though the female tends to be lighter) and grow to be 1–1.5 metres tall at the shoulder, with a length of 1.95–2.45 metres. A minimum calibre of 270 and up is recommended.
